Mosaic in Kuwait?

Posted July 15th by Patrick Semaan in Architecture

I wanted to post this a while ago, but only lately I had time to go take snaps even though its right next door to our office’s mall in Salmiya.
Its a giant big large Mosaic piece, approximately 36 meters width by 10 meters high, in each meter square they are approx 2500 small pixel piece (50 piece X and 50 piece Y. 50×50=2500). which means its made out of around 900,000 piece!

Location? Its in Laila Galleria Mall, the one that has Sakura and Ruby Tuesdays, its at the very beginning of the mall, there is a small long and tight hall, (the hall that takes you from salem al mubarak side to the parking lot of Bustan Mall), its there.
What it is about? It has images of the Kuwait towers, the parliament, mosques, the water tanks and other things.
Who did it? There is a message on it that says in Arabic that its a gift from a company named M&M (Mash3an & Mohamed Mashaan Co.)

Its really nice, because its big and large, requires a lot of work, its not a fine fine piece of art (in terms of finishing and details like Greek mosaic) but its nice and interesting, specially the fact that its hidden and u cant really see it easily. Enjoy the pics.
